Brain Brunch ("we", "us") offers free brain training games, word puzzles, number puzzles, brain teasers and board games at brainbrunch.com. We built the site to work without accounts and to collect as little information as possible. The site is free and is supported by advertising.

What we don't collect

You don't need an account. We do not require an account, email address or phone number to play. Online games ask for a display name, which may be personal information if you choose to use identifying details. Please use a nickname. Hosting and optional advertising providers also process information as described below.

What stays on your device

Your game progress, streaks, stats, XP and level, badges, settings (such as light or dark mode and sound) and the display name you choose for online games are saved in your own browser's local storage. Progress and preferences stay on your device. When you join an online room, your chosen display name and game actions are sent to the game server and shared with the other players in that room. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data for brainbrunch.com.

Daily Brain Workout scores

When you finish the Daily Brain Workout, your Brain Score and the five game scores (numbers only) are sent to our server so we can show how your result compares with other players that day. Scores are stored as aggregate tallies rather than named player records. The tally does not store a player name or raw IP address. To limit repeat submissions, the server briefly keeps a scrambled (one-way hashed) code made from your connection, in memory only; it is not written to the score database and expires after about an hour in that service. Hashing is pseudonymization and does not mean that all hosting or advertising information is anonymous. Each tally is scheduled for deletion four days after it is first stored; deletion depends on the hosting service's scheduled task. The workout is for entertainment only and is not a medical, psychological or IQ assessment.

Online games

When you play a board game online with friends (including Rise & Slide rooms for up to 6 players), the display name you type, your moves and any quick reactions you tap are sent to our game server so the other players can see them. There is no chat. Game rooms are scheduled to expire after 24 hours without activity. Room data can include display names, moves and session identifiers used to reconnect players. These operational records are separate from any hosting logs. Please don't use your real full name or personal information as a display name.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising is disabled in the current pre-application build. If Google AdSense is enabled after review, the following advertising practices apply. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
• Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising consent controls are not active while advertising is disabled. Before advertising is introduced, this notice will be updated to identify the consent service and how to manage or withdraw advertising choices. Personalized Google ads in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland require a Google-certified consent management platform; this policy is not itself a consent mechanism.

Hosting and fonts

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Cloudflare may process request and security records separately from game-room and score records. Their retention depends on the hosting account configuration and Cloudflare services used. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load. See the Cloudflare and Google privacy policies for details.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, Colorado, California or the European Union), you may have rights to access, delete or correct personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we don't keep accounts or personal profiles, most of your data is on your own device. For advertising data, use the Google links above, or contact us and we'll help.

Children

Brain Brunch is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
