Getting started

What is Brain Brunch?

Brain Brunch is a free collection of 77 browser games and puzzles across word games, number puzzles, brain teasers, board games and a daily brain workout. Play a short challenge or spend longer with a strategy game.

Do I need an account or an app?

No account or app download is needed. Open a game in a current browser. Some online games ask for a nickname so other players can identify your seat.

Is it free?

The games are free to play. There are no entry fees, cash prizes or purchases required to finish a puzzle. Advertising is currently disabled.

Who operates the site?

Brain Brunch is operated by Ricky Palmos in Colorado, USA. Contact hello@brainbrunch.com for support, privacy questions or rights concerns.

When does the daily collection launch?

Brain Brunch opens Monday, October 19, 2026 at midnight Mountain Time. Before then, the production website shows a launch page and games are unavailable. The full collection opens automatically at launch.

Where should I start?

Try the Daily Brain Workout for a guided session, or browse All games. The category pages separate words, numbers, brain teasers, board games and brain training.

Daily puzzles and practice

When do new puzzles appear?

The daily date normally follows your device’s local calendar. Most daily games use prepared puzzle banks. Jigsaw Puzzle rotates 26 original nature-and-animal pictures, with a freshly shuffled 24-piece layout each day; the pictures repeat after 26 days. Fix an incorrect device date or time zone if you see an unexpected day.

Does everyone get the same puzzle?

Players on the same daily date get the same version of that game’s published daily puzzle or seeded challenge. Practice sessions generate or select separate rounds. Different device dates can show different daily puzzles.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes. Computer board games and supported practice modes are repeatable. The twelve newer word, number and algebra challenges offer unlimited practice. Not every older daily game has an unlimited practice mode; its archive may provide additional published puzzles.

How does Jigsaw Puzzle work?

Jigsaw Puzzle has 24 pieces. Drag a piece onto the board, or tap a loose piece and then its place. Filter practice pictures by Forests, Mountains, Oceans & Coasts, Gardens & Meadows, Rivers & Wetlands, Deserts, Polar & Tundra, Savannas, Tropical Islands or Caves & Cliffs without affecting your daily streak. The daily picture rotates through all 26 original scenes with a fresh piece layout each day. No stock photos or licensed picture packs are used.

How do I find an earlier puzzle?

Use the Archive for supported daily games and choose a date with available content. Future dates and dates outside a game’s prepared bank are unavailable.

What if a daily puzzle is not available?

Check your device date and connection, then reload. Some games have a shorter prepared bank than others. If a published date is missing or broken, contact us with the game link and date; do not repeatedly submit the same score.

Are hints and solutions available?

Many games have hints, checks or a solution reveal. Their scoring effects depend on the game. A revealed solution is help, not an unassisted solve. Read the game’s How to play panel for its exact rules.

How do the five-round word and math challenges score?

These challenges have five rounds, up to 100 points each. In the current version, an incorrect check costs 10 points and a hint costs 15; additional Mystery Number clues also reduce the score. A revealed solution earns zero for that round. The interface shows the resulting score and explanation.

Can I change practice difficulty?

The newer challenges offer three practice levels. Algebra games label them Algebra I, Algebra II and Advanced practice. Many computer board games also offer difficulty choices. Changing mode or starting a new practice set may replace an unfinished practice session.

Can I share a result without spoiling the answer?

Use the game’s Share or Copy result control where available. It copies a text summary to your clipboard so you choose where to paste it. Please review screenshots before sharing, since they can reveal puzzle answers.

Progress and rewards

Where is my progress saved?

Supported daily progress, streaks, stats, preferences, XP and badges are stored in this browser’s site data. Support varies by game; not every computer match or practice session resumes.

Will my progress follow me to another device?

No. There is no account-based synchronization. A different browser, browser profile, private window, device or website hostname has separate storage.

What happens when the temporary link changes to brainbrunch.com?

The temporary workers.dev address redirects to brainbrunch.com. Browser storage belongs to each hostname, so any progress previously saved under the temporary address will not automatically transfer to the new domain.

What happens if I clear browsing data?

Clearing this site’s data can remove saved progress, preferences and online-room reconnection details. Brain Brunch cannot restore browser-only records from an account. Private browsing can also discard them when the session closes.

What are XP, badges and streaks?

They are entertainment rewards for supported game activity. They have no cash value and are not a medical or intelligence measure. Games contribute differently: some practice completions maintain a streak without awarding daily-puzzle XP or counting toward the daily chest.

Is the Brain Score an IQ score?

No. The workout score reflects performance in these games under their current scoring rules. It is not an IQ test, diagnosis or promise of improved everyday cognitive ability.

How are workout comparisons calculated?

Supported workout results are compared with aggregate score tallies submitted for that day. The comparison depends on who has submitted results and is not a verified ranking of all visitors or the general population.

Online and board games

Which games support online play?

Look for the online label and Create room or Join room controls. Supported board games provide private invite rooms; Draw Dominoes supports 2–4 individual players, while Chess, Checkers, Reversi, Backgammon and 9×9 Go are two-player games. Rise & Slide supports more players. Solo word/math challenges do not gain online multiplayer just because the site has rooms.

How do I invite a friend?

Create a room in a supported game, choose a nickname and share the room link or code yourself. The other player opens that link or joins with the code. Room links are invitations: send them only to people you want to join.

Is there public matchmaking or open chat?

The current site focuses on private room invitations and computer play, rather than public matchmaking. Some games offer preset reactions; there is no open text chat. Nicknames are visible to other players, so avoid personal information.

How long does an online room last?

Rooms are scheduled to expire after 24 hours without activity. Expiration removes the server room; a saved browser link does not guarantee the room still exists. Create a new room if the server reports that it has expired or cannot be found.

What if my internet disconnects?

Some room types let you reconnect using the same browser session and invitation. Keep that browser’s site data if you want to reclaim the seat. Depending on the game, other players may wait for the disconnected seat. Reconnection is unavailable after room expiration.

What does Quit game do?

Quit game asks for confirmation and returns to the relevant collection. It does not clear saved daily records. Unsaved practice or computer matches may restart, and leaving an online game disconnects the browser; it does not automatically concede.

How do I resign from an online match?

Use the game’s Resign control when it is available. Not every room type has a resignation/forfeit option. In those rooms, tell your friends before leaving, since a disconnected player may leave a match waiting.

Why did some game names change?

Some titles were replaced with descriptive activity names to reduce avoidable naming overlap. The collection now uses Chess, Checkers, Reversi, Dots and Boxes, Hidden Rank Strategy, Shape Rotation, Word Builder, Mental Arithmetic and Missing Letter Practice. Old game links redirect, and internal progress identifiers remain the same.

Controls, privacy and support

How do I change the colors or night mode?

Use the palette controls at the top: Forest & Cream, Ocean Teal or Terracotta & Sand. The moon/sun control switches day and night independently. Preferences are saved in this browser.

Can I mute the games?

Yes. Use the sound control on the game page or in the header. The saved setting controls shared sound effects and supported vibration. Audio starts after a player interaction; your browser or device may also restrict it.

Do the boards wiggle or move on their own?

The added idle sway and dancing effects were removed. Surfaces use simulated depth, highlights and shadows, with selection and move feedback. Existing game-specific animations may accompany a move or result. Reduced-motion preferences are respected where supported.

Can I use a keyboard or a touchscreen?

Many controls are standard buttons, and several games support number/letter input or navigation keys. Touch input is supported on responsive pages. Controls vary by game: use its How to play panel for keyboard details. We do not claim every game has been fully tested with every assistive technology.

Do I need the internet?

You need a connection to load the site, retrieve server-backed daily puzzles and play online. Some computer games continue locally after loading, but the site is not guaranteed to work offline.

Which browsers should I use?

Use a current Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox release. If a game fails, reload, check your connection and try a normal browser window without an extension blocking scripts or local storage. Clearing site data should be a last resort because it removes saved progress.

What information leaves my device?

Online room nicknames, moves and reconnection information go to the server. Supported workout scores are submitted for aggregate comparisons. Cloudflare processes technical request information, and Google Fonts receives requests when fonts load. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Are there advertising cookies?

Advertising is disabled in this release. Essential browser storage supports gameplay and settings. If advertising is enabled later, the privacy notice and applicable consent controls must describe the actual setup.

Is Brain Brunch for children?

The current service is intended for people aged 13 and older. Do not submit a child’s personal information in online nicknames or support requests. Parents and guardians should review the games and privacy information; the site is entertainment, not a clinical or educational assessment.

Are these games affiliated with another publisher?

No affiliation or endorsement is claimed. Familiar mechanics and descriptive names do not grant permission to copy another publisher’s artwork, puzzle bank or instructions. See Credits for the site’s component and content acknowledgments.

How do I report a puzzle problem or rights concern?

Email hello@brainbrunch.com with the game/page link, puzzle date, device/browser and what happened. For a rights concern, identify the material and the rights you believe are affected. Avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information.

Can I apply for refunds or cash out rewards?

There are no paid game entries or cash-out rewards in this release. XP, streaks and badges are virtual entertainment records, not money or a financial product.
