Every MSITian kick-starts his day with a thrilling Van ride on his way to college, thus, getting charged to a great extent as he rides through the dented roads amidst the hustle and bustle of the vendors of the 'haat'.
The picturesque Jheel, which is at a stone's throw from the campus, is a site worth watching. Besides being a usual hangout place for couples, the Jheel is also a hot favourite amongst amateur photographers, swimmers and chain smokers.
????..Yeah, you read that right! Our in-house canteen goes by the name of 'Jhoops' that pampers students with an array of delicacies at pocket-friendly prices. Chilli Baby Corn and Crispy chicken are usually known to top the charts.
Situated outside the college campus, this place is a hub of tea-addicts, chain smokers and endless 'Adda'.
5.MCL & MSL
MSIT has its own version of IPL and ISL which goes by the name of MCL (Meghnad Saha Cricket League) and MSL (Meghnad Saha Soccer League). These tournaments offer great entertainment to the students as the budding Cricketers and Footballers of the college put their mettle to test every season.
This is the tech club of MSIT and perhaps the most revered club of MSIT. The club arranges workshops for students to boost their technical know-how and inspires them to carve a niche for themselves in the field of technology. Among all the events organized by the club, Robotics is the most sought after.
7.Rotaract Club of MSIT
This club undertakes activities for the welfare of the society and is known to practise, profess and propagate harmony and universal brotherhood.
8.The Common Room
This is yet another hangout place popular with MSITians. It is a zone of TT sessions, '29' card game, carom, jamming and intellectual 'Adda'.
Every MSITian looks forward to Eutopian Euphorians, the cultural fest and Paridhi, the tech fest, from the very beginning of the academic year. An array of innovative events on the technical as well as cultural front accompanied by celeb performances and DJ nights offer unlimited fun, frolic and a great deal of merriment to the people of the campus. These fests provide a platform to identify the 'in-house' Michael Jacksons, Ricky Martins, Kobi Shumons and Einsteins of MSIT.
10.The 'Star-Studded' campus of MSIT
MSIT has always been a favourite with Tolly stars. Anjan Dutt's film 'Shesh boley kichu nei', starring Jishu Sengupta, has been shot extensively in the campus. The sensational Bengali serial, 'Ma' is shot at a building which is at a stone's throw from our college. Director Srijit Mukherjee and actor Abir chatterjee have often graced our campus with their presence. And??..saving the best for the last?
Shri Satyen Mitra, the former administrator of MSIT, is the heart and soul of our college. His constant motivation and support has been instrumental in shaping up the careers of numerous MSITians. His pearls of wisdom have helped every MSITian to successfully complete their journey from campus to corporate.
